Retail Nursery – include plant shops, garden centre and lifestyle hubs. The base of this industry is the retail sale of plant material such as seedlings, trees, shrubs, ground covers or twiners, flowering potted plants the general public. Most enterprises carry a range of allied products such as potting media, plant food, pest management preparations and containers.  A number of large enterprises have life style centres which may include advisory services, furniture, decorator items and cafes or eateries.


Plant knowledge, problem diagnosis and great customer service skills are vital to this role.
