Horticulture is the over-arching industry sector which encompasses Parks and Gardens, Nursery, Conservation and Land Management. It also includes specializations such as flower gardening, tree service and food production.


Qualifications in general Horticulture allow participants to select a range of units which cut across two or more disciplines and allow for flexibility in job options


Some of the areas covered in Horticulture include; plant identification, weeds, pest and disease management, conservation and land management, tree management, irrigation and nursery practices.


In unit selection it is possible to select across a number of relevant disciplines or to tailor the selection to a specific job sector.
